  1. Hello Marisa
I liked your explanation, I didn’t know that passive voice is often use in formal texts. I was doing some exercises you post and it helped me correct some mistakes I made regarding this grammar rule, doing the exercises give me a doubt, when we have a verb with “-ing” in a sentence when we change it to passive, Is it always necessary to put “being” and then put the verb in past participle? 😱

In one exercise, the web page corrected me like this:

A gardener is watering the flowers.
The flowers ARE BEING WATERED by a gardener.

Nice to listen you again. Thanks for sharing your information. I think I will need that for this chapter because at beginning it was kind of easy but in the way it gets thougher and now with your entry and the exercises yo have attached I'm sure I will improve in this topic.

Just one question: can any tense be used for passives?

  5. Hello Marisa! I really liked your audio-post and your exercises, They were really useful to me, because they allowed me to practice a lot. Actually it will help me to improve my grammar in passive voice.

Now I just have a little doubt, in passive voice after "being" do we always have to use "past participle form of verb"?

  6. Hello Marisa, nice to hear you again and thank you for share this information with us. The passive voice is a really important topic, and as you said,
it is composed with two elements: the appropiate for of the verb to be + the past participle of the verb, and it is used often in formal text.
My question is, can we use Passive Voice in any tense, for example in Present Perfect?
    Bye.
